A few months ago, Huawei launched the Nova 14i in China. Now, it is finally available for buyers in Hong Kong. This phone is actually a renamed version of the Nova Y91, also called the Huawei Enjoy 60x. These models were first introduced around three years ago. So, the Nova 14i has older features but comes with a new name.

The Huawei Nova 14i is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. It has four Cortex-A73 cores running at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.9 GHz. The phone comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage. It runs EMUI 14.2 software out of the box.

The phone has a big 6.95-inch LCD screen. It has FHD+ resolution of 2376 × 1080 pixels. The display supports a 90 Hz refresh rate and 270 Hz touch sampling. It can show up to 16.7 million colors.

Battery life is one of the best parts of this phone. It has a 7,000 mAh battery with 22.5 W wired charging via USB Type-C. Huawei says it can play videos for up to 26 hours on a single charge.

For cameras, the Nova 14i has a dual rear camera setup. The main camera is 50 MP with f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus. The second camera is a 2 MP depth sensor. It can record videos only in 1080p. The front camera is 8 MP with f/2.0 aperture, perfect for selfies and video calls.

The phone is 171.6 × 79.9 × 8.9 mm in size and weighs 216 grams. Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C that can also be used for audio.

Pricing and Availability

The Huawei Nova 14i costs HKD 1,588, which is around $203. It comes with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. The phone will go on sale in Hong Kong starting February 6. Buyers can purchase it from Huawei’s official website.
